Coming Together

Shirelle Ruddock, Nathalie Thomas, and Kayla Thomas met in 2017 and our connection was nothing short of serendipitous. We honor Latinx women and women of the African diaspora by telling nuanced, holistic stories that realistically represent the way we move through the world. 

The word "colored" in our show title is an active protest: the history of it was used to DIVIDE, so we are using it to UNITE. We reclaim the very thing meant to separate us by taking back our power, taking ownership over the narrative, and we’re excited to build a community to rally with us. 

We are our ancestors' wildest dreams and it's time to shake off outdated molds that no longer serve us.
